Membrane Filtration Systems

Two types of membrane systems are offered by LCI:

Scepter® Microfilter:  This filter features a permanent, smooth TiO2 membrane sintered to the inside of porous stainless steel tubes. The result is a very rugged unit that can handle operating conditions that other methods can't, including:

  • Temperatures to 600°F (315°C)
  • Pressures to 1,000 psig (69 bar)
  • Viscosities to 100,000 cp (100 Pas)
  • Suspended solids content to 50% by volume

Cellular Ceramic Micro-, Ultra-, and Nanofilters: These filter modules, manufactured by Corning, aren't as rugged as the Scepter filter, but offer more flexibility is process liquids and pore sizes, and are considerably less costly, being competitive with polymeric systems in some cases.

Tests of your fluid can be performed in LCI's Test Center.
